The exhibition was originally installed at Austin’s Women & Their Work Gallery in October of 2011 and was remounted with new works for the Conduit installation. Images of Victoriana, pugilism, medical anomalies and barren landscapes, populate Hystrionics and the Forgotten Arm proposing a choreographed fight outside the circled square. Margaret Meehan’s drawings, photographs and sculpture-based installation lets innocence collide with the monstrous, evoking race, gender, and empathy for otherness. More information and images of this installation can be found at Conduit Gallery .
